This image was taken in Choc Bay, St. Lucia on our last night on the island. We kayaked out to the small island you see on the right and returned to grill dinner and relax with a few Piton beers. Thankfully, the weather finally improved after we went to the north of the island (torrential downpours for 4 straight days), so we were blessed with a few days of sun and blue skies. More to come tomorrow.

After a brief hiatus, I’m back with a photo to kick off the week. This was taken on our recent trip to St. Lucia, at a plantation in Soufriere. As I’m sure some of you know, I’ve had oddly good luck in some recent trips coming across some photogenic cows, and I figured I would keep the trend going. Many more images from the trip to come.

A quick one while I’m on vacation in St. Lucia – keep an eye out for tweets & Instagrams with some love the Caribbean in the meantime!
This was taken with my Canon Powershot point & shoot from the water in Southwest Beach in Providencia…really great effect with the still water and vibrant reflections.

This will likely be one of my last posts for a week or so, as I’m heading to St. Lucia for a relaxing week-long vacation. I may auto-post a photo or two from the archives, but otherwise it will just be Instagram & iPhone updates. I’m looking forward to laying on the beach, hiking Gros Piton and checking out some natural hot springs, as well soaking up some of the local Caribbean culture. Catch you on the flip side!
As for the photos below, this was during the third leg of our transport to Providencia in September – a ~16 person prop plane flight from San Andres to Providencia. As you can see, you were able to get up close and personal with the pilots…pretty cool view if you ask me.

This was taken during one of the most amazing sunsets I’ve witnessed, while in Cartagena, Colombia. The sunset colors lasted for almost an hour and a half from end to end before a storm rolled in. At one point, there was a rainbow over the cafe and city behind us as well…pretty spectacular thing to witness. I liked this particular frame as the glow from the setting sun on the water illuminated a passing boat, adding some foreground interest against the dramatic sky.
